How much is an EWP ticket in Brisbane?
At FMS Training the RIIHAN301E EWP course (under 11 metres) is $360 per person and the WP boom lift licence course (11 metres or more) is $550 per person. Both are delivered onsite at your workplace for group bookings, and group discounts may apply for more than 6 people. There is no WorkSafe Queensland fee for an EWP under 11 metres because it is not a licence class. For the WP licence, the WorkSafe Queensland licence fee is paid directly to WorkSafe once you pass.
Can I book on my own?
FMS Training runs EWP courses for group bookings at your workplace. If you are booking for yourself, phone 1300 699 150 and we will tell you the best option.
Is an EWP ticket the same as a yellow card?
Not quite. The yellow card is an industry operator card run by the Elevating Work Platform Association. RIIHAN301E is the nationally recognised unit of competency that shows you have been trained and assessed by a registered training organisation. Many Brisbane sites accept RIIHAN301E; if your site specifically asks for a yellow card, check with them before you book.
Does an EWP ticket expire?
RIIHAN301E has no legal expiry date. Some sites and builders set their own refresher or verification of competency rule, so check with your site. The WP high risk work licence is renewed every five years with WorkSafe Queensland.
Do I also need a working at heights ticket?
Often, yes. Builders and fit-out companies regularly ask for both. See Working at Heights vs EWP Ticket: Which Do You Need? The FMS Training working at heights course (RIIWHS204E) is $310: theory online, then a half-day practical at Lawnton.
